Last month we had company which made for the perfect excuse for a road trip to the Grand Canyon. The first glimpse of the canyon always leaves me speechless and in awe. Words cannot adequately describe the Canyon and pictures don't do it justice, although we try.
I would love to hike down to the river someday. It's a lot farther than it looks though.
On our second day at the Canyon, we went for a little hike down Bright Angel Trail. Check back next week for a couple of pictures.

ReplyDeleteThat was an excellently written essay, thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteMichelle, I've never been to the Grand Canyon. Your photographs leave me breathless - because I don't enjoy heights! It looks so very, very, very far down to that river. Your photographs might not do it justice but they're still good.
ReplyDeleteNancy, I'm not a big fan of heights either so some places leave me breathless for the same reason. The good news is there are lots of guard rails and the trail we hiked was plenty wide enough. Still you do need to see the Canyon in person to really grasp its immensity.
