Just got home, need to find projects to do (JUST KIDDING), I know where they are, they are waiting to attack me when I walk out of a room!

Tana still has stuff out there that needs to come in, I have 2 sick yorkies and much to do, but, at least we have managed to get the deck furniture and the bbq grill OUT of the house. And, found lots of photos and projects when we removed said furniture and grill.

I like your workflow and your progress, Michelle. Using the Flip-pal,is a great idea! I do much the same by scanning both sides, but I use f (front) and r (reverse) so the images show up in order in my file list.

Using a screen shot as an index sheet is absolutely INSPIRED. So simple and so effective. Thanks for the tip!

I love Excel for these types of projects but hadn't thought of using a timeline for what you find on the pictures and documents. I can see where that could be very helpful.

A clear and organized approach. When my brothers and I first started organizing our 25 bankers' boxes of family artifacts, we made an Excel spreadsheet with contents and another that's a timeline. I update the timeline often, from what I find on the backs of photos or details from other documents. I have a running timeline now of every date I find. I love Snapscan to instantly scan the front AND back of any photo (can't be bigger that about 8X10) into one file. What a time saver!
